Weddings – Frequently Asked Questions
Can we choose another menu or make up our own?
Yes, absolutely!  You can customise your menu for your special day with the Restaurant Associates Food and Beverage Manager, pricing is of course dependant on the final menu chosen.

Some of our guests have specific dietary requirements, can you accommodate them?
We can accommodate any dietary requirements from vegetarian to gluten and/or dairy free; again we would recommend that you speak to the Restaurant Associates Food and Beverage Manager to customise your menu.

Can we supply our own alcohol?
For a corkage fee per person, you can provide your own bubbly for speeches and wines for dinner through negotiations with the Restaurant Associates Food and Beverage Manager.

Can we supply our own food or have our own caterers?
No, Restaurant Associates are our contracted in-house caterers who provide all food and beverage consumed on premises.  You must however supply your own Wedding Cake.

Can you recommend a cake decorator?

If we want to hire additional rooms/venues is there an extra charge?
This can be negotiated with your wedding coordinator.
 
What time can we get into the venue on the day of the wedding?
You have paid for a full day and can get in at 0730hrs on the day of the Wedding.

What time can we stay until? Are there any extra charges if we stay late?
Venue Hire is normally until midnight.  We can extend this until 0130hrs if required.   If you think you will require more time please consult your wedding co-ordinator as there may be a charge beyond 0130hrs.
 
What time does the bar close?

The bar normally closes about 2330hrs for a midnight finish.

Are we able to take photos around the venue?
Yes, but please be courteous of other clients on the premises. We recommend that you consult your wedding coordinator if you would like an idea of what areas will be available for photos and to get some great ideas.

What if I want to have coloured table cloths and napkins?
Any additional linen hire (including tablecloths and napkins other than white and chair covers and ties) will incur an additional charge. This will be quoted through your wedding coordinator.

Can you recommend a florist?
We have a very good relationship with Daisy-a-Day, call Therese on ph 04 473 5400.

Can you recommend a DJ or Band?
Two DJ’s popular among our clients are:

Is there free parking available for our wedding party and guests?
This can be negotiated with your wedding coordinator; however, there may be a cost depending on your requirements.

I have an elderly / infirm relative attending, is the venue accessible?
Yes, we have wheelchairs onsite available for your guests use and all our venues are wheelchair accessible.  If possible, please let your wedding coordinator know in advance so that they can make the necessary arrangements.
