Positively Wellington Venues is an integration of what were two businesses – the Wellington Convention Centre and St James Theatre & Opera House. We are working on bringing new a fabulous new website shortly!
New management for Wellington Convention Centre

As of 1st February 2011 the Wellington Convention Centre will be part of the newly formed Wellington Venues group.
Wellington Venues is a venue management company which also manages the St James Theatre and the Opera House. The company which came into effect on 1st February will be led by Glenys Coughlan as Chief Executive who started her new role on 31st January 2011.
Previously a business unit of the Wellington City Council, the Wellington Convention Centre will continue to run business as usual with only a few notable changes. All employees of the organisation will be using a new email address to reflect the change of organisation and all documents where the Council logo was used will now be Wellington Venues branded.
There will be a transition period over the next six months with the Wellington Convention Centre venues and the St James Theatre and Opera House operating separately until further notice.
